TCU News Now

TCU News Now is the award-winning student-produced newscast from the Schieffer School of Journalism. News Now has been around since 2004.

Students come up with the ideas for the stories then report, shoot, write and edit them under the direction of a faculty adviser. Newscasts run continuously on TCU Cable Channel 24 and are available 24/7 on tcu360.com.
 

In addition, students produce daily webcasts, including some in foreign languages like Spanish and Japanese.

Some of the major awards News Now has won:

• 2012 Lone Star Emmy Award—College/University Student Production—Arts and Entertainment/Cultural Affairs

• 2012 TIPA (Texas Intercollegiate Press Association) Reporter of the Year (out of all student reporters across all media).
